Good? Bad? Worth watching, or will I be horribly disappointed?

Feeling "meh" about Who lately, and it has a lot to do with the absolute vitriol of fandom lately. :(

I liked it...wasn't without issue, but I thought it was a good send off.

I love River, though. She's awesome.

River generally is.

Though her relationship with the Doctor remains problematic to me.

It would have been much better if they'd cut it after the rooftop scene. The final graveyard scene was seriously WTF?!?

Actually, I liked that scene, and perhaps it was because she had to choose between Rory and the Doctor, and chose Rory, in front of the Doctor, in case he had any doubt. She'd shown Rory she would choose him, and perhaps she felt she had to prove it to the Doctor now (due to those times she'd tried to seduce him).

It may have been WTF, but what was severely, painfully WTF for me was Rose sobbing for seemingly years on the beach while I sighed and rolled my eyes in embarrassment. I was happy not to hear "This is the story of how I died" again.

I could do without the "OMG, MELODRAMA" departures, though, yep.

But she CHOSE Rory over the Doctor in the rooftop scene. And okay, the Doctor arrived too late to hear the conversation, but it was pretty obvious that was what she was doing.

Looking back at Power of Three *that* episode is my head!canon for the Ponds' ending. No eyerolling melodrama, just the heroes riding off into the sunset :-)

1: I liked the Noir VO but none of the VO's have bothered me this series.
2: I don't. Loved little Amelia but it would've been impractical the Docto travelling with a child that young. Amy's had her moments.
3: Rory is awesome, loved him so much.
4: I assume/hope that offscreen he did.
5: I think the last scenes were needed to be honest.
6: Me too but her character and Kate and River should all meet at a later date.

Most of the VOs this season were pointless.

It would've made the Doctor think twice - having a small child as his travelling companion. It definitely could've been interesting at least for a few episodes.

Oh, yes, it'd be interesting if we had River, Kate and JLC's companion meet up.

3- TOTALLY agree! He's still the one I'll miss the most.

4 - I'm not sure there's a Brian left to tell. Amy and Rory have been away from the TARDIS long enough for Amy to start showing signs of age while still wearing full makeup - and if there's something an ex-model would know, it's how to conceal something like that. That kind of time might also mean that Brian has died of age.

If he hasn't, I hope the Doctor shows him the afterword. Brian will understand. All I wanted was for them to be together and happy, and I got that.

7 - Do y'all really pronounce "quay" as "key"? We don't; we say it to rhyme with "sway." That was throwing me.

Yes Quay is pronounced Key (if it's pronounced properly!).

Rory just pwned - over and over.

if it's pronounced properly!

Rory always pwns. He is the master of pwning.

It has to be said there are people out there who don't know the proper to pronounce it is to rhyme it with Key not Sway.

Yes! I'm gonna miss him!

I love Rory the best, too.
And River. I'll always love River.

Yeah, River's fun - though her relationship with the Doctor remains problematic for me.
