- I'm convinced (after 2 viewings) that it's Eleven in the spacesuit, not the little girl.
I'm thoroughly convinced it's River! First off, wouldn't Eleven seeing himself cause a paradox? I think it's River because of the way she reacts after trying to shoot at the spaceman/womanthing and when nothing happens she goes: Of course not. Like she's lived this. Plus! Since no one but the Doctor sees the person in the spacesuit, it could likely be River, Amy, Rory or Canton even as this way they don't see themselves. And as many people have pointed out, what is River wearing when we first see her? A space suit!
I have so many theories on who the little girl is, it's making my brain heart!
Well if the last one were true, everyone who's ever travelled on the TARDIS then had a kid would've given birth to a child with regenerative powers. And we'd know about it by now!
I did consider she might be the Doctor and River's child.
Oh gods! River's face when the Doctor tells her doesn't trust her. Seeing her close her eyes and swallow made me want to hug her. Especially given how readily he then accepts Amy's word.
That tore me up inside. And yeah, River was pretty much completely awesome. I loved Rory in it, as well. I'm glad they're putting to death the "companion has unrequited love for the Doctor" in this series, unless Rory actually has something to confess.
I've decided that any theory I have about who the little girl is will probably be completely wrong, so I've given up trying to guess already.
I've got to watch the whole thing again, but I'm now starting to wonder if the baby is River and the Doctor's, especially given the bit of nausea River experienced after seeing the Silence and because I think some would find it oh-so-poignant for us to discover at some later moment that River was carrying the Doctor's child when she realizes that they'd just shared her last/his first kiss.
It's very interesting to see the progression of the Doctor/River relationship. The Doctor is definitely more comfortable around her now, and more flirty. That last/first kiss broke my heart, too. Well, who couldn't be moved by that look on Alex Kingston's face?

This is still my leading theory, too. It would explain how the Doctor knows he's going to his death.
The Silents erasing the TARDIS' memory about the pregnancy! You have the most intriguing theories. : )
I guess Canton's revelation did feel tacked on ... although since there was a small debate in my journal over whether Canon's S.O. could or should be black or gay I was hoping they wouldn't forget it and I was pleasantly surprised that it was both

Yes I remember the conversation on your LJ last week.
"calms"? Do you mean "qualms" which makes more sense in the context!
I didn't initially recognise River or Rory, but that's because I was watching Eleven and the President until the camera panned a bit closer and I went "Oh, River and Rory!"
Never seen Twin Peaks so I've no comparison to make - I just found it very odd!
I don't know how the child fits in - guess we'll find out in 2 weeks time, though!
Oh god. That was wierder spelling for me than usual. Yes that should be "right" and "qualms" plus a few other corrections.
David Lynch does lots of those non-linear dream sequences especially in Twin Peaks and the related movie Fire Walk With Me. It also had shades of Time Bandits (which had shades of Doctor Who so this could go in circles) and City of Lost Children--I thought. The point for me was that Amy didn't seemt to be experiencing linear time there and it seemed that more time passed than a few minutes. I also wonder if she was dealing with alternate timelines. It was extremely odd, ANd it felt like it was a part of a completely different story. Mmm. I'm wondering if it is part of a completely different story. LIke this scene will recur (maybe more than once) in a different context/order.
My twit still sums it up: "I laughed. I cried. I OMG'd!!"

What are you theories on the little girl?

Possibly a little River Song, but I'm not thoroughly convinced it is.
It is Amy and Rory's, only because of their time on the TARDIS it has given the unborn baby regenerative powers.

Oh well, yes - but it's fun to speculate...

Then again I don't think Moff would let another EoT happen. We're in good hands, IMO.

Yes, Amy did seem to do more in the time we were with her than Canton did.
