I've had quite a few responses to the meme, and the majority of the questions are below the labelled cuts. I'm still working on two of them (one features a picspam, and the other requires more thought).
I must confess I forgot Bambera initially - but I was talking it over with my brother this morning, and he mentioned Bambera, and I went "Oh yes!" and slipped her straight to #1!
And my first list contained 4 New Who characters and one Classic Who, at which point I decided I needed separate lists...
I've still got a picspam for the 5 Men of Classic Who excluding the Doctor to do - but I need to get some screencaps from some of my DVDs.
I also have to give some more thoughts to shadowturquoise's excellent question.
I had a feeling most of your Torchwood moments would involve Martha. I admit I'd probably include some of the same moments - particularly the 'voice of a nightingale' one.
5 - Jack stealing *the* flashiest car he could find (in 'Torchwood: Children of Earth - Day 3').
Well, of course he must have the flashiest car, lol! *shakes head at Jack* Though nothing beats him being encased in concrete and getting dropped off of a cliff to break the concrete. That show just blows my mind sometimes...and then pulls the rug right out from under me.
On the DW novels, I *loved* Peacemaker and The Pirate Loop - they were great reads.

I'd say it was pretty predictable that Martha would feature a lot!

He drives around in an SUV with the Torchwood name on it - the man doesn't have the word 'inconspicuous' in his vocabulary!

I preferred the car moment...

Well I highly recommend the other three I mentioned.
Especially the random one-off character one. I don't think I could limit it to 5. (I mean, my last few eps alone would give me D84, Poul, Colby, Litefoot, Jago and I have plenty of others. Including some you've listed there.)
Am *very* amused about your including Colby. I do think some of the credit should go to Edward Arthur and Chris Boucher, though!!!
Thanks. Feel free to ask for my Top 5 Fannish something or others (Whoniverse, Spooks or Law & Order: UK...)

LOL You could do what I did with the BFAs - 5 honourable mentions!

Nope, it's entirely down to you writing him incessantly! :D
Heh. One off characters? I'd have to do a top 20 at least! My love for random passing characters knows no bounds. ;-D
I forgot, love the idea of planets you'd like to visit. (Can I come with you to the library ones?) But count me out for Florana. Isn't that the one the Doctor describes as having seas like milk? Sounds revolting to me!!!

I love the UNIT series - it's pretty intense (a bit like TW:CoE in that respect)...
And I'm very fond of many of the Companion Chronicles.

Sure thing!

Seas like warm milk that are effervescent...
