He's got a very sweet side that comes through with Liz, Jo and Sarah Jane (no favouritism from him, thank you very much!)

He even has his moments with the Brig...

I heartily recommend The Silurians and The Ambassadors of Death of the Third Doctor's stories I've seen so far...
