Your story made me realize that Eight is so emotionally open that the Time War must have hurt him even worse than it would have done other incarnations of the Doctor.

Oh do! The Eight/Charley story arc is quite detailed and lengthy, but Charley's a nice companion - in some ways she's like Rose could have been if Rusty hadn't made her so selfish.

I don't really know Eight that well (having only seen him in the TV Movie) but just from reading this chapter I've decided I really like him. And I feel all the more sorry for him with what he has to face in the Time War.

I enjoyed this chapter a lot :)

Eight is absolutely lovely - so open and caring and quite a bit of fun too. Having the ending of the Time War be his responsibility is just horrible.
