Donna was amazing this week! I couldn't help but get a bit wibbly when they mentioned Martha's "death", and Sarah Jane! About Rose, I liked her a lot this time around, but I was a bit disappointed that she was hardly remorseful when she kind of tricked Donna into going back in time, without really telling her the consequences? At least that's how I interpreted it, I'll have to re-watch to be sure I got it right..
Next week's episode though will be EPIC. Ianto in my DW? LOVE!

That said...I...like...Rose :| Didn't think I'd see the day but I actually really liked her! I don't fully agree with you about her being a 'scientific genius' because, well, she was with the Doctor for quite awhile as well as working with AU!Torchwood. Her saying something the Doctor would say could all be put down to being around him for a long time.
I totally agree with you about the plot holes but looking past that, I really enjoyed the episode especially for one that RTD wrote.
I was soooo relieved to see all the characters in the trailer ::sighs:: The next two episodes better get here like...NOW.
- Rose was suddenly a scientific genius who could help reverse-engineer a TARDIS, would not speak her name and hated being saluted by UNIT - so she's the Doctor? RTD clearly lied when he said he hadn't brought Rose back to change her. Not that I wanted miserable, pining Rose back, but this was pretty ridiculous!
Pretty much my thoughts too as you know! I was wondering about the past adventures too, and "how" they somehow happend dispite Donna turning right and events after "happends to revolve around Donna! Her emotional pleas were such that I wanted to hug her! and like I said slap Rose
To be honest I just assumed Rose was parroting what the Torchwood/UNIT scientists had told her and, while she probably knew what the technology did, she didn't know the ins and outs of it - it just seemed to like that to Donna, as she didn't have the slightest clue what was going on.
The moment when Donna asked Rose what 'Time is in Flux' means, and Rose admitted she didn't know, fitted with that idea.
A university grounding in science and astrophysics isn't something you can pick up 'on the job', so to speak; Rose is smart, but not that smart.
- I loved the Ten/Donna dynamic at the start of the episode

That's my Martha Jones! She was awesome before the she met the Doctor just like we all knew! It was so sad but I smiled. All I could think was "that's my girl!"

Agreed. I know she was depressed but she was just horrible. Maybe because my mother is so loving and supporter it makes this worse... IF RTD was doing another series/companion I want the mother to be dead so she's right out of the picture. No mother is better then these kinds of mothers.
RTD has a really *negative* view of people that really depresses me...
I know, two weeks in a row it's this horrible view point on what people would be like. If the world ended tomorrow I really won't want RTD standing beside me... I hope Steven is a little better.
I don't know - I just don't see any sense in killing her off twice... Mind you, RTD's twisted enough to do it...
