#1 - I went to HK during my gap year - it was lovely but I don't remember a huge amoount of it now: probably more than you though!

#3 - Again good for you! I'm just coming up on 1/2 way through my second degree but it's part time so I won't be catching up with you anytime soon.
#4 - Yep - the batt;e between writing original stuff and fanfic....'tis a quandry. Original stuff is what has a chance to get published but fanfic is soooooo shiny!
#5 - I run at about 60 - good job!
#6 - I read the trilogy through over Christmas a couple of years ago. I liked but it was *long*. Have you read the Ghormenghast trilogy? If you like LOTR you may enjoy it.
#7 - I think a LOT of women would jump like a shot if DT proposed. Me - the fellas I fancy are either gay and/or fictitious so my hubby is very lucky - I won't be running out on him anytime soon!
I really don't remember anything about HK at all ! I've not read "Gormenghast" as yet... I've had my scholarship published - and even been paid (once !) - but getting paid for scholarly work is just as hard as getting paid for fiction - and the feedback for the former is far less frequent or enthusiastic !
As to degrees - I did the first one in my 20s and the second one in my 30s but I'm NOT going to do another one in my 40s !!
I'm sure your hubby is grateful for your choices in men ! ^_^
Glad too to find another fast reader (mind, I do think I have a bit of the Woody Allen's in my reading speed*) as I got serious flack for how quickly I read the last Potter novel for example!
But two degrees?! Golly... Is that two undergraduate degrees?
I read all of the last three HP novels in only a fwe hours... I just read two of the latest three Ten/Martha novels in just over 2 hours each ! (Third one DRAGGED !!)
