Fabulous acting by McGregor and McDiarmind, and better than the last two movies acting by Christensen and Portman. A powerful confrontation between Mace Windu and the Emperor, Yoda is very easy to sympathize with, the execution of Order 66, the climactic duels at the end, the birth and separation of the twins.
Weakpoints, General Grievous was not as menacing as he could've been (he was much more of a menace in the Cartoon Networks Clone Wars, the musical score, though including wonderful new pieces, is fairly non-existent or low-key throughout the movie, and the instructions Yoda gives Obi Wan at the end concerning the 'training' he wants him to participate in while in exile, needed to be fleshed out and introduced earlier in the film.

Agreed.
and better than the last two movies acting by Christensen and Portman.
So what? It's still PAINFUL to watch them on screen together.
A powerful confrontation between Mace Windu and the Emperor
Nah, I didn't care because I didn't really know who the fuck Mace Windu was and why I should care what happened to him. Remember when there used to be just a handful of characters and we got to know them all? I know this about him from the past three movies: he's good with a saber, he talks a bunch in the council, he's suspicious of Anakin. Oh yeah, and he's a bad mutha fucka.
Also, the very contrived story about the change in appearance: lame. Very contrived, as if Lucas had to really stretch to explain away the way he looked in Episode VI.
Yoda is very easy to sympathize withFrank Oz was great, but the CGI still sucked. On a related note, I didn't particulary like James Earl Jones in this, but it may have just been the direction

The dialogue was ridiculous as always. The story was too much about tying up every little insignificant detail than offering an original and intersting chapter of the saga. This probably satisfied the saber-bearing geeks and the OCD crowd
They're pathetically easy to please. If this is the case I guess I have no reason to see it.
I thought that the 1st spiderman was mediocre for same type of reasons(I didn't bother to see the second one) but the comic book fan geekdom that it was great. I thought it was just lame, very predictiable, very kidish, and not very well thought out plot.
