We co-sleep still. She does sleep in her bed about 50-90% of the time, though. She seems to go through cycles. If she sleep through the whole night without waking, she will generally be in her bed. But her bed is in our room so anytime she wakes up, she just crawls in with us. This works perfectly as she's now 2yrs old and for a while there, I was wondering about the logistics of making #2 :P. I love co-sleeping, I'd never do it any other way, honestly.
I wondered about how transitioning out of bed was gonna happen. Like I said, when we get a two bedroom apt, we'll have a second room as a playroom, and she'll have a bed in there, but I'm not gonna really TRY to get her out of our bed. And of course, she's welcome back anytime. I wonder about making #2 too! :) But thankfully, we aren't interested in TTC quite yet. Give it another year or so. :)
With us it was simply an issue of putting her in her bed once she was asleep. It's about three or four feet away from our bed and by the time we finally did that, she was more than capable of getting out and just climbing up on ours. It was a relatively easy transition because we do not expect her to stay in it, lol. But I must say that I appreciate the extra space when she's not there and having an hour or two "alone" is nice. I'm not worried about having 2 kids in our king sized bed, but I did want to sort of get her used to being comfortable in both places.
