[He can't think of any other way, not from when he's pulled from. The moment he goes back, Roxas' blade will be on him, and he'll be at the end of his rope with Sora's situation. He feels backed into a corner, with no way to actually go through with the notebook full of alternative plans he's accumulated during his stay here.

And he has been planning.

He's used to people being from his future, believe it or not. Sora was, Roxas was - even if it was from an alternate universe, really - and Mickey is now as well. He just knows that no matter what he figures out, it won't mean a damn thing when he finally gets tossed back into their world.

Which is why Kairi's blind trust in him - the fact that she even immediately assumes he's telling the truth about who he is - has him uncomfortable, has his Light and Darkness flaring a little bit, the shadows curling closer and closer around his heart seeming to shudder and contract almost in uneasiness. He's not used to being trusted. Not at all.]
