Hi dear f-list,
I am ultra insomniac right now... i guess driving my bro back to Boston and then taking the bus back (9 hrs!) didn't properly do me in to make me tired... (quite opposite oddly enough... :p)

Is my insomniac grey_wonderer wandering around online by any chance ( Read more... )

books, the children of hurin, randomness

Great "Hurin" link! I also think that I should re-read the Silm and UT, but I simply don't have the time. And I hope that Hurin will be such a weaving together of all kinds of previously published snippets that I won't feel the urge too.
I only hope that the copy I've ordered at Amazon.co.uk will be as lovely as the Dutch. I love the Dutch cover with the landscape on it! The man/elf cover I don't particularely like.

It's a long time ago that I've read "Wizards First Rule", but I do remember that I didn't like it at all (and that's an understatement). I am very suspicious of endless series of books, and this one caught me of a fine example.

That's true--but i feel dorky and yearning fro some Sil rereading and probably read a little of Turin's story first... depends on when i get enough money fro Hurin though i'm very excited about it~ I love the cover fro the hardcover copy of "Hurin"... it's so great to get excited fro a new Tolkien book! =)

Wizard's First Rule-- i might not like it by the end but it is exciting nevertheless... i just hope that no one else dies a gruesome death but that's too much to hope for. :p

Augh, insomnia is so awful. I've had it, off and on, for most of my life.

*snuggles you*

sounds like things are going well and you don't sound like you're over-stressing yourself out :)

yay for new books :)

and I think you can keep the header, you just need the right coding to plug it into a different layout :)

When i plug in that coding for a diff layout--does that mean i have to redo all the coloring of my journal too? Or do certain layouts have a set coloring scheme?

Paid accounts are so much fun! =)
There are two moodthemes I know of:
a Frodo and 4 hobbits. BUT! They were posted like back in 2004 so I'm not sure if the zipz still work. The hobbit one doesn't even have a link to downloads so I don't know how that's supposed to work.
A friend on my flist had a good LotR moodtheme a while ago, I'll ask her where she got, it if you want. Just say the word!

I hope you enjoy the Terry Goodkind books. I read the first few in the series, and really liked the first one, but after that, they all seemed to be pretty much the same plot each time, just with the 'oh noes, how will we ever fix this' angst upped each time.

I've been warned it gets really dark and i got mixed replies when i spoke of it first..almost a year ago when i first bought it. I hope it doesn't make me always want to continue it...I'll try the first two perhaps. Darken Rahl scares the heck out of me... :p
