Samsø Højskole, Day 0

quaryn_dk and I are doing a one-week stay at Samsø Højskole as our anniversary retreat this year. Today, we packed up (with only a slight bit of panic as some rainclothes had disappeared temporarily) and took the Oddergris down to Odder, followed by a taxi (quaryn_dk trying to not overdo it too early) to the ferry. This is absolutely the prettiest time to be in Denmark, and Samsø is as beautiful a place as any. Expect more (and better) pictures in the coming days.

My Danish professor lived in Samsø for a while and speaks of it fondly.

Understandable. It's highly idyllic, even though it has lost half its people over the last century.
