Florida- 7/21-25

So much has happened since my last update, and most importantly, I have my MFA in Musicology, am back in the US, and am waiting to hear back from Phd programs.  I'm taking a conducting class right now and am working on papers for my portfolio and to submit to conferences.  Currently, I'm occupied with film music, notably film musicals and the ( Read more... )

So, after running around Vietnam, uploading pics and catching up on over 2 of 3+weeks worth of emails, I whilled out my guide book and spent 3 days in Taichung and a day between Changhua and Lugang to see other parts of central Taiwan.  I also took 2 day-trips around northern Taiwan to Jiufen and Shenkeng to look around before heading back to ( Read more... )

I just spent the last 24 days in Vietnam, and I could write a book on the adventure I had.  I went with 13 others from Taiwan, and we learned a little of hte language, more about the culture, and saw the sights around Hanoi, spent a weekend in the central part of the countrty exploring the historical hot spots in Hue, Danang, and Hoi An, and spent ( Read more... )

It's been over two months since I updated, but May and June were spent in the library or in front of my computer contemplating and typing up finals.  I also did a presentation on tourist spots and East Coast cities in the USA for a lunch lecture thing sponsored by the school International Office, and will be doing one next semester on American ( Read more... )

Happy Halloween!!
