"What's that about the pipes?" Dale asked as he entered the room struggling with his waistcoat.

"There's rum in them," Charlotte told him, turning out and holding out the small glass to prove it. "I hope that's not bad for them, but I can't imagine it being good..."

"All the pipes?" Dale asked looking, for once, concerned about this weird change. "No water at all? How odd."

"Oh, well," Charlotte frowned thoughtfully down into the rum in her cup, "I didn't check everything, just the kitchen sink, but they're all hooked up to the same water main, I thought, so I just figured..."
