It hurt so much to get up this morning to the sound of only one bell. Every time my alarm sounded, the bells on their collars would tell me where each of them were as i got up to turn it off. If the closet door happened to be left open overnight, you could be sure Julius' bell would sound from inside. He had a penchant for sleeping on my clothes. ( Read more... )

I'm sorry for your loss, Daniel. :(

I hope that you realize what a great home you've given these animals and that you never regret taking them in. The pain of losing them is always unbearable, but it's worth it for all the good we do them, and all the good they do us. I hope you will continue to keep your heart and your home open to animals who need you. <3

I'm very sorry. Sounds Julius had quite the personality.

In May I had to bring my cat, Tiddles, to the vet to be put to sleep. She was a 19 year old Siamese. I still expect her to be waiting at the door when I come home. I can't get used to her not being here.

People say that they're just pets, but they really become part of your family.

He touched us all in so many ways.
It must be so hard for the three of you guys.

I'm still in shock over it. :(

My heartfelt sympathy. He looks like a beautiful kitty. I can only imagine how very much you miss him. I had an orange tabby for several months, named Freddy. He was exceptionally friendly and loving. Though I only had him for a few months, he was firmly rooted in my heart. One day I came home and he had been killed by a car. His passing left such a gaping hole. I know how you feel. You were lucky to have Julius for the time you did. I hope his loss will gradually become easier to bear. Give Ceasar extra lovies. He's hurting too.
