It hurt so much to get up this morning to the sound of only one bell. Every time my alarm sounded, the bells on their collars would tell me where each of them were as i got up to turn it off. If the closet door happened to be left open overnight, you could be sure Julius' bell would sound from inside. He had a penchant for sleeping on my clothes.

I hope that you realize what a great home you've given these animals and that you never regret taking them in. The pain of losing them is always unbearable, but it's worth it for all the good we do them, and all the good they do us. I hope you will continue to keep your heart and your home open to animals who need you. <3

In May I had to bring my cat, Tiddles, to the vet to be put to sleep. She was a 19 year old Siamese. I still expect her to be waiting at the door when I come home. I can't get used to her not being here.
People say that they're just pets, but they really become part of your family.
