Can you submit under a pen name? I don't have anything polished enough to submit, but I've always wanted a pen name. Also, if you can answer this--how does one submit under a pen name in general? It seems problematic.

hee. well, going through the editorial process as your real self once your submission's accepted, or just publishing under a pen name, no problem. trying to go through the whole editorial process incognito? good luck with that. and in our case, oh man, i don't know why anyone would bother.

My impression (mostly from reading news articles and the like) is that people who want to do things truly anonymously (publish books, donate money, etc.) usually do it through a lawyer. Lawyers basically handle paperwork for money (albeit a lot of money), and they're bound to strict confidentiality by an ethical code (and the desire to keep getting your money).
