Mmm, I would expect nothing less of Stephen. I was wonderful to see all his old friends at the funeral but I think only Jack, Sophie and Bridget truly appreciate "softly as I leave you there".

Thanks so much for writing this; it's truly a fitting end for the Doctor.

Well there was a wider circle of friends who need to attend to say their formal farewells and Jack needs to be surrounded by other seamen and their shared memories of Stephen. But I agree, only he, Sophie and Brigid needed time with Stephen before he left them so softly and quietly.
