Landscapes and People

I'm really tired and still have a lot to do. I  came back yesterday, back home in this cold winter, I'm terribly jet lagged and still have a couple weeks of writing furiously still the job is done. So, I'm sharing a selection of pictures, most of them showing the better parts of the trip ( Read more... )

More amazing pictures. For my fantasy life, the first and last are the most beautiful.

I'm sorry you're so tired. Take it easy, Perelleth. You've earned a little rest.

So much sun! I especially like the one with the cat and the parrot.

Clapboard shacks in wild colors. Some people just know how to be happy where they are. I hope you are in good health and continuously employed. I was going to make a comment about dumbass politicians and the road to economic ruin, but you already know about that. :)

yeah. dumbass politicians and dumberer businesspeople. I love the picture with all those rusty abandoned ghost ships, it has an entertaining story of business crash behind, but all that is left is the fleet, which is still there because the owner owed money to several different institutions so they can't reach an agreement and so the ships remain there, like old time flotsam.
Meanwhile, all people care about is their baseball field. :-)

Welcome back! I hope the jetlag doesn't last too long.

Those pictures! Wow. They're all amazing but I particularly love that last one.

I was just thinking - wouldn't it be funny if you really worked in MacDonald's or somewhere and were just pulling these from the Internet ;-)

Is it that cold at home? It's been about 4C here, which is very cold to us, but it's bright and sunny and I just gave the grass its first cut of the year.

Oh, yeah, right, because spring starts on February 1!

it's awfully cold and snowy and pouring hailstorms here, I want to curl up and cry, and wait until spring comes!

wouldn't it be funny if you really worked in MacDonald's or somewhere and were just pulling these from the Internet ;-) LOLOL. And a funny story that would make! That last picture is one of my favourites, too. The guy who took it has a wonderful eye for light and composition Also, since I lost my camera early on, I manage to appear in many pictures, somehting seldom happens! :-)

I'm looking out my window at several feet of snow on the ground and I want to be in that first picture!

I know! Me too. Around here it's nothing like what you're going through up there and still I want to curl up and cry! The good thing is that the wawether wasn't as extremely hot as it was supposed to in this time of the year, and there was always a warm breeze, so it was great to be out and around!
