So yesterday I went to Derby and had a look at the flat I mentioned. It turns out there are no cupboards like the advert said and the bedroom is much smaller than Mum expected. Despite that though it is quite nice. I put my name down for it and they are doing all the checks that they need to do and I should be able to move in next weekend, once

Your preparations sound reasonable and to the point.

I still don't have a sofa, but a comfy chair (after nearly nine years of living in self-furnished rooms and five of those in my own flat).

Will let you know - didn't know it was a book. Have no idea what it's about - but I'll let you know what I think. I'm only going to see it because the guy in it was on Parky at the weekend and I thought it sounded reasonably interesting.
