Like. Sam has made Dean the center of Sam's life, at significant cost to himself, and then he gets told at every turn that he's not only extraneous but a burden. Wanting not to feel that way is nowhere near the same as "needing" to be in the center of someone's life.

Like he judged him for wanting to make something of himself by going to Stanford? Like he judged him for wanting to be safe and have a normal life? Like he judged him for falling apart and wanting revenge for Dean's MURDER (which he was fucking FORCED TO WATCH)? And for (accidentally) letting Lucifer free? And for again falling apart and clinging to an anchor (Amelia) and normal just so he didn't self destruct after losing Dean again? And the way Dean has promised repeatedly that bygones will be bygones, yet keeps on fucking bringing up Sam's mistakes? Four seasons later!!!!
I love Dean, but he's not some fucking flawless saint. Neither is Sam, but some fans seem all too willing to point out Sam's mistakes and completely gloss over the shit Dean has done.
