day one, again

i've been feeling pretty out of control lately - too much to do at work, and never enough time to do everything i want to do at home either. add to that the fact that i injured my ankle (like a month ago!) and it's just now starting to feel better enough to start working out again ( Read more... )

I did the Shred last fall... did all 30 days, even pulled a couple of double workouts on weekends (after I got over being sore). I also managed to do 10 days on level 1, 10 on level 2, and 10 on level 3. I measured and weighed myself before and after. Measuring is KEY because that Shred will have you building up muscles you never thought possible, so your efforts may not reflect what you think they should on the scale. :) A few weeks after finishing my first Shred, I decided to pick it up again. Unfortunately, about a week prior, I had experienced what I thought was a mild eye injury, but had to give up ANY/ALL workouts (because the increase in blood pressure from working out was aggrivating the eye injury). SO - here we are nearly a year later, and I've gained back every pound and inch, and then some. I also suffer from anxiety and lack of energy and poor eating habits, all of which are exacerbated by stress at work. I plan on posting online about getting back into the swing of things, whenever I start... maybe that will ( ... )

thank you for the support Sarah, you are awesome. and yes, blogging/journaling about it, or getting a support group at work really helps. i'm trying to keep myself accountable online, as well as with two co-workers who are also trying to lose weight and get healthy. take care of yourself, injuries are no fun and you have to let them heal! and although it's hard to tell myself this, be patient with the healing and the getting back into it. :)
