Let the Squeeing Commence

Yay I read Deadlocked! I haven't gotten my print copy yet, but it's waiting at the post office. I have both electronic versions - ebook and audio.  I always like to listen to the audio version on the train going to work - I get major travel sickness, so the audio version helps me to speculate instead of vomit. It's the PMR way. Speaking of work, I ( Read more... )

He'll come after Sam, because he'll take more re-reads. :D

Yay! Only one more til Felipe then?

The more I think about Felipe, the more puzzled I am that QSA seemed very interested in acquiring a telepath, while Felipe for a couple of books hasn't shown any direct sign of having a use for Sookie in that capacity.

Is he less forward-thinking than QSA? Does he discount Sookie's value as a telepath because Sookie couldn't prevent QSA from being grievously injured? Or is there big bad machinations happening off the page?

I await your Felipe post!

I loved the book!
I was real happy with Sookie's reaction when she saw Eric feeding from someone else. Even though it was all emotional. It still must have hurt.

Freyda visiting Sookie - Win. :) I mentioned that on Finite Anarchy's post back in Dec. Freyda wanting to meet Sookie. See why Eric wants to get out of this marriage? I wonder what Freyda thought of Sookie. Poor Bubba, he's so upset over this.

Now FDC and Freyda are negotiating. And Eric and Freyda are negotiating. I'd like to know more on this. Would FDC really be thinking of getting rid of Eric? Either way it can't be good for FDC. What happens to Pam than? She goes off on her own?

I can see why Sookie used the CD for Sam. I think she would have used it for Eric if he was dying again. Crazy that Sam knew he was dead. Think Eric was pissed? He doesn't get a "Pass GO". Why would Niall tell him about the CD? How long has Eric known about it?
So many more questions and thoughts to come.

I do think that when Eric gets some time alone and thinks the CD-use on Sam through he realizes that Sookie didn`t have any choice. Not the Sookie he knows and loves.

I get a bit mad when I read Eric fangirls complaining over Sookie`s use of the CD. What was she supposed to have done? Let Sam die? That`s not Sookie - and thank you very much for that!

Thyra, I think I worded it wrong. Of Course Sookie wouldn't let Sam die! I never meant that. Sookie loves Sam and wouldn't want anything to happen to him. I also think If it was Eric dying she'd use it for him too.

When I said Eric being pissed at Sookie was his first impression that he didn't get his wish to make it go away. I'm hoping Eric realizes This IS the SOOKIE HE LOVES. he should know by now Sookie loves her friends and family. Please everyone don't take what I worded the wrong way.

No, I got what you said :-) I was just building on it and my last comment was definitely not meant for you. I just read in another blog (I`m reading EVERYwhere these days) some people claiming Sookie was stupid (what else is new) for using the CD on Sam, or that CH was stupid (ditto) for letting it happen.

I`m so sorry if you thought I meant you!

I'm glad you loved the book, I loved it too! I am looking forward to hearing all your picking apart and speculation. Please put Felipe on your list! And Niall.

I am looking forward to you telling me why E/S are still definitely a HEA. With AbsenteeEric embroiled in Vampire Shit this book, Sookie was on her own a lot, and it was absolutely wonderful to see her doing well. I loved her birthday party. Surprise party for a telepath? What a freaking monumental effort that must have been for everyone involved. They all know. Totally magnifies the love. :) :) :)

Sookie on her own was strong and smart and practical, had her whimsy but didn't run away with it. After this book, I am convinced that no matter what happens with her love life, Sookie has a place in the world where she belongs, and I totally love it. But of course, I still want her to have everything she wants, which includes Eric. <3 No need to respond to the Eric business yet, I will wait patiently!

I think Niall will come sometime after Felipe. Although, that might be a lie, because Felipe might require hard thinking, and I might have work. :D

Oh! I hadn't thought about how difficult it would be to keep a hint of a surprise birthday from Sookie. I'm just processing so much right now. That was a feat and a half.

Yes I totally agree - Sookie's life is looking good. She's got a nice solid group of friends - and her list is so !large! nowadays. As long as she gets the romance dealt with, then all will be well.

One thing I've learned about having a teenage boy is that they'll eat almost anything, and having pizza three nights in a row goes over surprisingly well!

Sooo, here's a few more questions I've been pondering:

Will Eric do what AE said he would for Sookie? Does Eric have the cajones to give up his sheriffdom and get a 'real' job, perhaps, a job in real estate just like in that dream Sookie had? Will Sookie factor into FdC's punishment of Eric? Will Eric escape FdC's punishment by fleeing to OK? And, yeah, what in the world does FdC and the QoOk have to discuss, since she's one of the sharks eyeing his territory? Why was Eric's voice hoarse after the tense meeting with the two royals? Why'd Eric take Thalia to that meeting, and not Pam? Will Pam be thrown under the bus and shipped to OK to save Sookie and Eric's relationship?

Ok, I'll stop there....for now! Please forgive me, but I've been busting at the seams to discuss DL for darn near two weeks now, so I'm kinda dizzy and giddy. :D

Sorry, I just caught this. I am now giggling at the idea that someone chats about Sookie Stackhouse while listening to the rizzah. Nice juxtaposition there. PMR ain't nuthin ta f wit? *takes your second paragraph more seriously*

Lol - my taste in music is eclectic and varied. Unlike my fanfic (which I foolishly insist has plot) my music is guaranteed to have a heavy hefting of filth and swearing. My mother was disgusted, and now my husband is disgusted with me.

I own some Bodycount too - but this particular song is on the Blade Trinity Soundtrack album (which I love) - a little homage to Mustapha and Warren. :D
