This is basically Reiki. That is so cool that it is in your nursing text!

I went back and forth between 'so cool' and 'so weird.' As much as I like Reiki, it's odd seeing it next to 'Risk for Deficient Fluid Volume' or whatever. But yes . . . we even have NCLEX questions about energy healing.

This says to me that nursing may be catching up with idea of holistic healing. I have to say that it makes me very pleased, reassured even, that this is part of your text and that I might someday encounter a nurse in a regular hospital who might use energy work on me.
