Puff for Life

It's official. I'm a Hufflepuff :D And my wand is Dogwood (quirky and mischievous, noisy, not good with non-verbals but still capable of outstanding spellwork) and Unicorn Hair (consistent, very loyal to witch or wizard of its choosing, anti-dark magic) 11 inches and slightly springy. I figure it's a good fit ( Read more... )

Woohoo! Yay for Hufflepuff!

My wand is Ebony and Unicorn hair, 10 3/4 inches, quite flexible. Ebony is good for combative magic and Transfiguration; happiest with someone who is happy with who they are and who will hold fast to his or her beliefs, no matter what the external pressure, and will not be swayed lightly from their purpose. I think it's a good match.

Re: the roaches. OMG. I HATE them. In addition to the plain old regular already creepy roach, we've also got tree roaches here, and they FLY. *shudders* They're impossible to keep out of your house, even if you're the cleanest neat-freak ever to walk the face of the earth, because they can get through the teeniest tiniest little cracks. They've been invading a lot lately (as have the mice and rats) looking for water because it's been so dry here. Ick, ick, ick.

That's great about the wand. I think the traits for Ebony are truly wonderful to have, so it says a lot about your strength of character to have that be fitting for you!

OH GOD FLYING ROACHES. Don't tell me about these things when I may be moving to Texas in a couple of months. Oh creepy. I am already not used to the normal roaches. I've lived the last 8 years of my life in New England, and even living in Boston, there's not much of a roach issue unless you rented a building that was already overrun with them and is badly managed or you were a complete and utter slob. Even then, they're tiny ones really.

Gah, I thought I had one in my hair the other night but it turned out to just be some kind of black beetle. It was a big black beetle, mind, so it still completely freaked me out.
