I love Sheppard in this, with his slightly mean-spirited undercurrent and protectiveness. The unexpected mother-in-law, uh-huh. I have a feeling that if Jennifer wanted that last square on the bingo card, she wouldn't have much success. But the best part was when Sheppard realizes Teyla lied, Leff-tenant Patel's near telepathic reaction -- and the swearing. And yes, Jennifer, the fact you thought of it as surgery does make it creepier. :D
Thank you. The outsider POVs were the most fun to write because of the observations from a source that isn't as familiar with either of them and most importantly, isn't 'in' with Sheppard's people. And I agree: ileliberte did a fantastic job of capturing the moment between Jennifer and Teyla. :)
Oh my! I just cannot put into words how much I love this no matter how I try. Everything from Sheppard's mean streak to Jennifer's surgery to Teyla's 'calmness' and then the bingo card finish! Just Perfect!
Thank you. I can't tell you about the giant salamanders; the lab tests haven't come back. Ok, in other words, I never came up with a solid plan of how they ended up there other than "Evil earthling rich, mad scientist, vague ties to stargate program".
