Penny watches the rain fall from the comfortable seat she has settled in. A pot of tea is set before her and she silently waits for it to stew. The house has been unnervingly quiet today, only filled with the sound of rain. Penny taps her fingers on the arm of the chair, anxious for noise to break through the air.

Penny can understand a lot of things, it is an intelligence bought by her father. Countless pounds spent on countless days of school, a pricey white collar education. The sun has begun to set and the island's nocturnal creatures begin to buzz in anticipation. Penny sits out on her front porch a slight sweat on her brow.
