Today I learned that many people eat jelly donuts for Fat Tuesday. But I had heard the pancake thing, so I don't think it's just Canadian . . . and we have now exhausted my knowledge about this or any other Christian holiday. :)

Hmm, I've always heard of pancakes for Shrove Tuesday, but then, I was raised by a Canadian.

It was using up the eggs and milk before lent--rich food. If you want to believe wikipedia, they talk about it here:

I've never heard of the pancake thing either but any chance to eat sweets!

I did read on EW.com a bit about Judi Dench and she is so incredibly awesome and the best M.

Please take your time on replying back to me - I am swamped with three congressional testimonies this week.
