Happy Galentine's Day

Feb 13, 2011 11:06

Not so relevant to this post, except that it's a story about a woman who is awesome: against my better judgment I got antsy and posted fic on a Saturday evening, even though we all know that's a bad time to do these things if you want anyone to see it. So in case you're interested and missed it, A Fairer House than Prose (or on DW) is my long- ( Read more... )

Well, I already had fritatas at Chaila's party, so it's time for some desserts, right? :)

I could totally go for more Sarah Connor/James Ellison. Fic, pics, meta, whatever. OOOH, and please link me to your SCC fic, because I don't think I've read all of it since I hadn't watched the show yet when you were writing SCC fic...

Or anything else. Dessert is dessert is dessert, whether it's chocolate cream pie or banana nutbread.

Gluten-free dessert! :) I will endeavor to write you some fic or meta or some such thing, but in the meantime, have the TSCC fic I've already written (all of it involving James and Sarah, shockingly). There's actually not as much as I feel like there should be; I should work on that.

My favorite TSCC fic--and the only "real" fic I've written for this show--is a bailar: post-series, Sarah and James and the dance that they do.

I also wrote Five Times James Ellison Didn't Feel Like a Father. And in what I believe has the distinction of being the first Sarah/Ellison fic ever (it's possible I'm wrong here, but I've certainly not seen any that preceded mine), a couple of porn battle snippets from January 2009: If You Want to Live and A Small Crime.

But I think I do have a really proper, multiple-drafts-with-the-beta fic about them in me; I just have to find my angle and write it.

Once again, not exactly what you asked for, but there's definitely some James and Sarah in here ( ... )

(Sorry about the deleted comment, I put it in the wrong spot the first time.)

Her memories of her biological mother are a little sharper but not altogether pleasant. (These, too, she can incorporate. "My mom isn't very good at showing affection, but she does try, in her own way.")

Eeep. I'm torn between laughter and a sadface, because that would be very true for a life with Sarah as a mother figure.

Sarah and James became Mom and Dad, and they all mostly lived in the car. They practiced names and stories every morning at breakfast.
Nice sharp detail here.

...her dad picked her up and said that it was all over, and they would be okay now. Her mom said, "it's never over."
Sneaky, putting this in Savannah's POV, so we don't know exactly what happened. Heh. Interesting way of presenting some kind of closure.

"Just be careful. You know we're never really safe."
Awwww... I'm amused that this line makes me feel all happy about their little permanently robot-bent family.

I think I'd just as soon keep Facebook features well away from LJ, but I am glad you like!
