Well . . . the transporter in the microwave has been really tetchy lately, and I'd have to send someone through only to have them show up inside-out or something equally unpleasant. That would put a serious damper on the fun with the pool boy. But I can send good vibes and hugs! Will that work? :)

As for that gag with G'Kar . . . I always found it very funny. Because he always has been portrayed as a bit of a dirty old man; there was a point in season one or two where you find him with two women, neither of whom are Narn. I never thought that moment was problematic from a character standpoint, though it is admittedly a little cheap . . . really, it's the fic that comes out of it that's really horrifically, overwhelmingly frightening.

And yay! for Wednesdays of not working and other fun things! And an even bigger YAY! for getting through the last few days! Woohoo! (tm Lennier . . . ::grin::)

Ah well. It's possible I was entirely too tired to have fully appreciated the pool boys. As for hugs and good vibes? Always, my friend!!! *hugs back*

The G'Kar gag was not entirely out of character, and it was sort of funny, I admit, but mostly it creeped me out a lot. Somehow there's a difference between the two alien women (which would go into the category of personal kinky sex choices) and voyeurism (which would go into the dirty old man category). And to spy on John and Delenn makes it even creepier, I think. But sort of funny, yes.

Mostly, though, I thought the artificial eye thing had such potential for the interesting political sort of spying, so it seems sort of a waste of a good potential plotline to waste it on a peeping Tom gag. This show sort of has a thing with voyeurism, though, doesn't it. If it's part of Minbari courtship rituals, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised to find G'Kar going there, as well.

The last episode of the season doesn't actually have anything to do with the season. They had already filmed the season finale (which later became the series finale), thinking it was the series finale, when they were green-lighted for the fifth season, and then they filmed the new S4 finale in a hurry. So you can pretty much discuss season four in full if you've only got one to go. (This isn't to say "The Deconstruction of Falling Stars" isn't interesting, but it certainly isn't nearly as good as the rest of the season; this also accounts for the choppiness of early season 5.)

As for endings that are not really endings . . . it is an interesting theme. And yet . . . I really want to have you get to "Sleeping in Light," which is the actual series finale (though filmed at the end of season 4). Because not only does it address that very idea, but it is . . . probably the most moving 47 minutes of television I've ever seen. And I've seen a lot of TV.
