a little ficathon pimping

I know, I know, it's been what, three weeks since I swore I was never doing another ficathon ever? (And I'm still in the doghouse for not having written my drabble for Stars' Farscape Holiday Drabble-thon. I really will write it, I swear!)

On that note, I announce the one ficathon I could never resist, no matter how hard I tried: danjanficathon!!!!!! I'm such a ( Read more... )

Oh, man, I'm so tempted but I so can't let myself.

That said, very excited for when these fics go live!

To be honest, it's really not a good time for me to be doing this, either. But it's Daniel/Janet. Obviously I'm going to do it. *sigh*

Thanks for pimping in your LJ, though, even if you can't participate! I'm excited about all the new Daniel/Janet fic under any circumstances, but it would be particularly awesome if people besides the usual suspects play along!

Fair enough. I'm not allowed to join any ficathons until my overdue ones are complete and my grad school apps are all done (soooo close). Plus, I'm not a fan of the ficathon format where people only make one request, so I'll just have to write Daniel and Janet on my own sometime :)

Definitely excited!

Continued good luck with finishing up the grad school apps! You have my empathy, to be sure. (Though now that academic job applications are coming on the horizon, I think those grad school apps suddenly look a little less horrific... This not to belittle the fact that they're a freaking pain in the ass. I very nearly had a complete breakdown the first time I applied to grad school.)

As for the ficathon, yeah, I can't say the format fills me with everlasting glee; it's hard to write to that kind of specification. I tend to prefer the pick-a-prompt-of-your-choosing format, myself--less anxiety and guilt the whole way around. But I feel like there's flexibility in that we're so happy to have new Daniel/Janet fic, period, that who really cares if it's exactly what you asked for or not. Or at least that's my thought. :)
