We left Friday afternoon for Port La Vaca, that night we fished. My first cast into the bayou at location 2 brought up both two specled trout, the big one was about 16", the little one was about 5". Damn, didn't expect two lures on a line to equal two fish in a cast. Afterwards I caught a few more trout, doing much better at location 2 than ( Read more... )

My cousin has a fishing camp in Chauvin, LA. (Survived Katrina and Rita)

Redfish and Trout are so yummi. I hope to do some fishing soon. The last time I went fishing in Pensacola I caught some bigass fish...king mackrel, amberjack, red snapper, trigger fish and some other scaly creatures. I had so much fun. Gosh, I love fishing.

based on the amount of bait theft I think I'm going crabbing next time around! Yum, crustacians.
