First of all, I don't really watch American Idol, however there's at least one TV in every room in the MCC and I worked the evening shift up until very recently - I'm temporarily on another, so there wasn't much avoiding it. I see her genuine talent who's gotten mixed up in the pop machine. Real, good rock has been lacking in fresh talent for a while. How much longer do you think the Stones, Aerosmith, Skynerd, ZZ Top, and newly reunited Zeppelin are going to be able to keep touring and stick together? Face it, classic rock is tied to a bunch of old people without a lot of useful years left.

As for the crush, well, I wouldn't turn her away if she was interested, but really, I don't think she's my type.

Actually, Reality TV is very realistic: the majority of people in this world seem to be conniving morons who'll do anything for 3 minutes of fame.
