Yay for BTS posts! I am still amazed at your staging skills. Yes, I will probably say this every time I comment on anything you post, until the end of time. :P Because it'll always be true!

Hehehe, maybe Ceres' inappropriate taste in stockings is just her De genes showing through. I do really like that outfit, and Erin's as well--do you happen to recall offhand where you got them? If not that's cool, I'll just post them to wcif_sims or something.

The deleted scene is cool, too! Do you have it written? You could always just post it to LJ as an outtake or summat. Then we could still see it and it wouldn't be entirely wasted.

I can't wait to see the next chapter!!

Aw thanks!

I managed to track down both outfits for you, assuming you're talking about Ceres' original outfit and not the one I ended up putting her in.

Ceres: http://kleoscanti.blogspot.com/2010/12/tf-school-uniform.html

Erin's outfit is actually outerwear: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=245326

The creator also made adult and elder versions of it (which I totally need to download). It's easy enough to flag them as everyday in the Wardrobe Wrangler :)

No, I don't have the scene written. Pretty much what I typed out was what I noted mentally for each picture :(

delurks

I should feel sorrier for Zane on this one, but I don't really. Tina killed herself 40 years ago. Zane cheated the system to save her and he got a lifetime of love out of it. Yeah, he didn't get eternity, but he got as much or more than most people get and pretty much exactly what he would have gotten had he lived a "normal" life. Yes, it really sucks that Lillian used Quinn as a weapon against her son (*rolls eyes at Quinn*) but in the end, what happens at the end of a lifelong relationship (and I believe that 40 yrs counts as that) is that one half of the couple dies and leaves the other to figure out how to go on without them.

/cold practicality

Very, very true. That's not going to make Zane feel any better, however. Especially since, as far as HE'S concerned, she was murdered. He thought she COULD live there forever. Cold hard logic doesn't apply to someone who is grieving. And when that person is immortal, 40 years is but a speck of time.

Besides, Zane is weak and not exactly the most mentally stable character around, lol. He's very, very flawed.

Thank you for delurking! It makes me smile when I realize that someone has been reading me that I didn't know about :D

:P I've been reading you for about a year and a half. Veddy veddy quietly.

No, clearly Zane was going to freak and generally I feel bad for him given his life situation and that he's a mess, but not all that much about that particular situation. (also, I never really liked Tina all that much)

The sheer number of poseboxes is scary. I could never do that, but the results are so good ( ... )

Augh. See what happened with Zane's house is when I last did a rebuild, I had evicted him from the house in the old 'hood and THEN backed it up. I thought I had the Stay-Things shrub and it turned out I didn't. So his house is completely empty save for the living room, the kitchen, and his and Tina's bedroom. I haven't actually PLAYED him in ages, so I never felt the need to fully furnish his house. Truth be told, the world according to Sim!Zane went like this ( ... )

I like the reinterpreting of sims' normal actions. They're quite creative in a way.

Erin not telling other people about the true identity of "Miss Lily" does make sense to some extent. But would it be nice if she brought a camera with her?

The scenes with Quinn looking down the balcony are rather hilarious in a way, and Rhys will always be a strict father to Erin and Quinn. Period.

haha I love the behind-the-scenes shots. Though I never did stories in Sims 2 and only have a vague idea of what a posebox and an overlay is. o_O My sets are such messes... they're often not even really live-in-able houses, and as such I just use cheats to make sure no one dies. :O It's fun to see "behind-the-scenes" of other peoples' stories!

I'm sure TS3 has similar posing hacks. In fact, I'm pretty sure I've run into a few while hunting for TS2 ones. Overlays are animations or poses that override something else, or that run in conjunction with something else. Like the picture of Erin hugging her father: they're both stuck in a pose and can't move, but their faces can. So I used talk animation to give them their expressions. It sounds a lot more complicated that it really is.

My sets are usually a mess as well. Because my story is a legacy story, I have the general game-play neighborhood that I play the challenge. Then when I've reached a certain point (birthdays or something like that), I copy the neighborhood folder and save it. Then I go back in and start posing and cheating in the built houses, or building half sets that look really bad when not in a tight camera angle. When it's all done, I throw that folder away and put back in the original to continue playing. Rinse and repeat :D

Wow, that was a total teal deer. Sorry!
