Um - I can't remember very many weddings. I don't think many of my ships actually tie the knot. Obviously I'm betting on the wrong ponies.
Marshmallow and Lilypad - How I Met Your Mother
It was either them or Jim and Pam, and frankly, any event that Michael Scott attends will never make a "best" anything that isn't in the disaster category.
Not that Marshall and Lily's is smooth. Tons goes wrong, of course. What television show wedding goes perfectly? Hell, what real wedding goes perfectly? But it's funny and entertaining and in the spirit of the show - and then we get the real ceremony in the park. With the fedora and the guitar and Barney trying to officiate without crying. Very, very sweet - followed by the reception o' comic relief and ending with a very romantic stop at fast food for burgers. A great ending to a great pair of episodes.
LILY: We should come up with a whole new last name.
MARSHALL: Oh, that's easy; Lily and Marshall Skywalker.
LILY: Lily and Marshall Hasselhoff.
MARSHALL: Oh, got it. Lily and Marshall Awesome. Hey have you met the Awesomes? Lily, Marshall, their son Totally, and their daughter Freaking?
