I am sick, and it is for the first time in a while, and it is not making me happy but there we are. I am just glad this didn't happen the entire semester while I was at school..just because it's easier when you've got parents who can force-feed you homeopathic chinese medicines and stuff. One of my least favorite things about having a cold is ( Read more... )

YOU SHOULD SEE AVATAR.

I'm still planning on seeing Sherlock Holmes (sometime next week) and Princess & The Frog, but man, Avatar was gorgeous.

Not omg mindblowing shocking, I've heard some people be disappointed it was predictable (I don't want to overhype it up even more than it's been already!), BUT it was really, really visually gorgeous, and it made me cry like 5 times, so. Awesome.

I KNOW I HEAR IT'S REALLY PRETTY which would pretty much be the only reason I would go but still. Wow.

OMG PLEASE DO SEE SHERLOCKHOLMES AND PRINCESS & THE FROG. The latter made me cry. Like. forrealz.

Sorry to hear you're sick, that sucks.

Also, don't go see Avatar. Don't. I didn't think the CG was very impressive and if you actually paid attention to what was going on it was something akin to receiving a lobotomy.
Granted, I am grumpy and have a general dislike of cinema but it was probably one of the least enjoyable things I have seen since the first Twilight came out.

Also everyone keeps saying Sherlock Holmes is good I want to seee itttt

Yeah, this is also true. Malinda Lo's blog was all about "OH MY GOD OF COURSE YES NATIVE WOMEN ARE HOT...wankers" so... yes.

OMG SEE SHERLOCK HOLMES. A lot of people other than me like it so I can't be that crazy.

You have my sympathy on being sick during the holidays. As well as my empathy, sadly enough *sniffle cough*. But hey, I saw Sherlock Holmes too, and it was very enjoyable! Robert Downey, Jr. rocks, as does Jude Law, although the latter always makes me uneasy because he looks /exactly/ like my senior year high school English teacher. I mean exactly. Someone put up a magazine picture of Jude Law on the wall of his classroom and we wondered why our teacher was in a magazine.

Avatar makes me a bit uneasy too, if only because the trailer I saw for it basically came across like "Look! Glowing blue Native Americans! Go see!" But the reviews seem incredibly solid, so maybe it is worth a look.

And I need to find someone female to drag me to Princess and the Frog, because what little remains of my heterosexual masculinity refuses to let me see it by myself. But classic Disney rocks so much!

awh well hopefully we'll both feel better soon enough!

Haha that is kind of awkward about your English teacher, but alsokind of awesome.

I don't know what to think about Avatar, but I probably won't see it. I think I'd be too cynical if I went to go see it.

SET ASIDE YOUR MASCULINITY BECAUSE IT IS AWESOME. Or just. I don't know. pretend you're seeing it for a masculine-verified reason, like you have a cousin who is blackmailing you, or you lost a bet.
