didn't celebrate easter today because I never really have. not that big of a holiday 'round our family place (although I did eat these lovely chocolate bunnies my mom's friend gave to me. fucking amazing.)

to make a long story slightly shorter, didn't have an epiphany moment at St. John's, I had several cynical moments and am now seriously scared/ ( Read more... )

vacation, book, sketch, st. john's, ramble, college

I really don't comment often enough.

But, I know how you feel about college. Right now I'm struggling with the same feeling. I'm lukewarm at best about all my college choices. (And right now I have quite a few)
The truth of the matter is that the college you choose isn't the important part. It's what you do when you get there that matters the most. You make the experience positive or negative yourself. (Oh, the wisdom that comes from German teachers)

Also. Sketches. Awesome.
And you meet the weirdest people on planes and in airports. Don't guess he was getting a connection to Dallas, was he? (The weirdest people fly to Dallas. Honestly.)
Granted.. that doesn't make it any easier to make the choice. But it might help to keep that in mind.

Yes, you're absolutely right. I remember my counselor told me at the beginning of the year I'd be happy at any of the colleges I'd chosen, so long as I didn't convince myself I wouldn't be happy there. the specific college you attend isn't as important in long run, it's just hard to see it that way right now. I just.. don't like making decisions, you know?

XD actually he was on my flight to Charlotte, NC. But he might have had a connecting flight to Dallas?

Ahh, counselors. My school is too big for us to actually get in to talk to one.. you need an appointment a week in advance xD; But yours definitely has the right idea. It is pretty tough to decide, though. I'm so scared I'll pick the wrong one >_>; We're in the same boat.

He could've come from Dallas. Y'never know. But then again, we get a lot of flip flops and cowboy hats anywhere in East Texas, so he could've been from just about anywhere.

Blarr.it sucks to not have an available counselor. For a paranoid freak like me I probably would have exploded. XD I KNOW. well. Worst comes to worst you can always transfer, so I guess it's not the end of the world. -sigh- Still. tell me how it turns out for you. ^^

XD well it was a straw cowboy hat.. does that narrow it down at all? I dunno, I was just really baffled by it for some reason.

Anywhere you go, as long as you work hard enough, you can become well-educated. And Stephen is god, you know, but you have to make decisions for yourself, not to becomes like someone else. And there are gay folks everywhere. And good looking folks most everywhere. You just have to try harder to find them. You'll make your education meaningful wherever you go.

ha I'm not exactly an Easter celebrator. I'm more of the "Yes it's easter! Time to eat pastel cupcakes and dye easter eggs (the only time I can be artistic). Oh christ? him, what?
