Carcassonne!

Have a fabulous time! And next time ... book a hotel *at* Gatwick for the night before, so you can settle in, have a nice meal, go to bed early, and just be a short stroll from the gate when you wake up in the morning! ... At least that's what my friends do ... personally I'm the one on the road at 3:30am panicking about whether I'll have time to leave the car in the long term car park and still get to check in on time ... which is what happens *every* time .. sigh :-)

I generally do that and get the parking there, but I just couldn't justify the cost for only being away for four days! LOL! :-) When we go to Hungary in December, I already have the hotel/parking booked.

Thank you! I suspect that you can't take photos in the caves, but I will get photos of the cathar ruins. :-)

Apparently you could have had a four star hotel with parking, two adults for £72.25 (or at least you could if you were booking for October 11th-12th and returning on the 15th)
"This Secret Saver airport hotel retains its 16th-century charm while still delivering 4-star comfort and service. Set in large unspoilt grounds consisting of wooded areas and beautiful landscaped gardens, this Gatwick airport hotel offers guests a relaxing and peaceful environment, but still within close proximity of the terminals."

Yes, I guess I'd rather have the £72 to spend in Carcassonne (maybe on expansion packs!) :-)
