So hold on, you mean to say this line: "All I know is love will save the day..." is crap? Love is the only thing that keeps me going. When I'm on the verge of wanting to *not* exist, I don't know about you, but LOVE is the one and only thing that saves my day.

Did you not see the top of my LJ? If you're wearing it and you look in the mirror it says, "love yourself." LOVE! Okay, if you mean romantic love, yeah, screw any societal perception of what love should be. Inner strength is love! Helping your friends is love! Passion for life is love! Wanna tell me that line is crap again?

Sorry, though, didn't mean for my opinion to piss you off.

I just don't believe that love will save the day. And yeah what I meant was ROMANTIC love. I don't need a man to make it. I don't need a boyfriend, lover, husband, friend with benefits, life partner... Whatever you want to call it I don't need it. I do need the love of my family and friends, because there all I've got in this world.

Sorry, but when I listen to music, and they're talking about love, I generally take it to mean "romantic" love. Specifically I read that as Des'ree telling us that our man will make it better. And screw that. I can save my own day; I don't need anyone else to do it for me. Sure its nice if someone happens to be there BUT I don't need them to be. Because if there not I am just fine.

Even if I had no one, no friends or family, I could still survive. Its wonderful to be loved and its even more wonderful to love. But

HAHA! I hope you seriously don't think I was pissed off. I just wanted to test out being assertive. I actually agree with you completely and knew you meant "romantic/man-woman love"... which, yes, most music does mean "love" in that way but I refuse to see it like that.

Even if I had no one, no friends or family, I could still survive. Its wonderful to be loved and its even more wonderful to love. But I know I could make it, even if all I had was myself. That's all I meant. = love yourself.
