I read the original stories about the "undiscovered" tribe in the amazon, but now it turns out that it wasn't quite true. From what I understand, the whole "lost tribe" thing was just the media blowing it out of proportion. Even when the photos were released, the original sources said that the Brazillian government, anthropologists, and NGOs knew there were a number virtually uncontacted tribes in that area. Just blame the typical soundbite driven American press.
