Photographer violates the prime directive, but it's a hoax (well, not quite).

I read the original stories about the "undiscovered" tribe in the amazon, but now it turns out that it wasn't quite true. The photographer who took the picture of two indigenous terrorists attempting to take down an airplane with strange wooden weapons (very clever that, since the wood was not detected at airport security) has admitted that the tribe was not as unknown as we have been led to believe. BUT . . . apparently this was still the first time the tribe had ever been photographed. The article I read focuses more on the "publicity stunt" (the photographer, who is also some kind of researcher, was trying to draw attention the destruction of habitat from logging) and less on the tribe itself. Hopefully some actual anthropological stuff will be released about these people.
