If a wolf spider is anything like our rain spider - which I get the feeling it is - then fuck me Dragons!!! If I EVER got that close to one I think I would pop and expire on the spot. Hell, my sister is the one that removes them from the house. I've even been known to call someone to save my cowardly ass when she wasn't there. Gawd, to have one in my clothes and to be bitten... *shudders in sympathy* I'd have nightmares for weeks. Don't. Like. Spiders. Nasty hairy little (huge) eight-legged arachnids.

But your dog is cute! Our alsation used to do likewise with a hose. Leaving them in all day though... tsk tsk. Smelly dog bed cleaning is a just reward :)

Seriously? I have had the worst spider year EVER. I'm like a freakin' magnet.

It's worth noting nobody has died in Australia from a spider bites since, like, forever. But yeah. We do big and hairy well here in OZ. And not in the ways you WANT big and hairy. You know?

Confession time, for clarification: I rather have a fondness for wolf spiders, as much as one can have any sort of feelings for icky spiders. Childhood thing, I guess. I grew up in an area where they abounded and I thought they looked cool. And would let them crawl on my hand voluntarily. I was careful with them, don't get me wrong, but I didn't fear them. Now get me near a Black Widow or a Recluse, and you'll see me get... what's the phrase? I don't get mad, I get stabby. Yeah, that. Stabby, splatty, semantics.
