LOL. You have years like that. Mine was more a blergh face. Things are kinda wonky between me and my family this year, and I made that bed so I has to lie in it, but I felt a little off-kilter watching everyone do family things over Christmas. Normally having no family around doesn't bug me, but it did this year.

I just wish things weren't so strained, you know? But strained they must be right now, so onward and upward. *gets on with it*

I hope you're all recovered and ready to greet 2010 with a fresh outlook. Let's all leave our 2009 baggage where it belongs, eh?

No Christmas face for me :D
I may have taken a giant step towards diabetes though.

And it's a holiday for a reason, so you have every right to epically slack off.

*\o/* Sugary treats FTW! Like you say, holidays is made for epically slacking off. Nutrition included.

I overdid the cheese, myself. And pie. I do not need to finish the leftover pie that is still clogging up my freezer. Of course, I WILL finish it, but I probably don't need to.

*rubs little Buddha-belly with glee*

I'm one of those people who's built like a boring plank of wood, so when I make myself a little tummy, I have to rub and pat it and enjoy my pants staying up while I can. :D

Yes it is! I always say it's not what you eat between Christmas and New Years you have to be careful about, it's what you eat between New Years and Christmas.

lol we all have our problems, I guess!

(oooo I loves the new layout!)

I had mirror-smash-face Christmas. Too broke for prezzies, then went to dinner Christmas eve where a political discussion broke out. For two hours. I ask you, is politics merry? I thought not.

*bashes face on mirror some more*

Christmas morning was better, brekkie with friends where the only conversations that broke out were fun and friendly and, y' know. That merry thing.

So. Yeah. Humbug.

*kicks 2009 to the curb. kicks it again for whimpering*

Glad you spent the weekend being almost perfectly useless. You deserve that. *SMISH*

And thanks for linkies to ficcish things! Sometimes Christmas prezzies has nothin' to do with store-bought stuff. :-)

Pee ess. LJ HTML code is of the devil. *nods*

Yeah, I'm not sure politics is a very good subject for any dinner table, unless said table has officially convened with the express intent to discuss said subject matters.

A good debate is one thing. Drunken verbal shellacking is another.

Like you, I'm ready for 2010. Let's bring it on. Fresh starts, new steps. 2009 was, for me, a brilliant year in many ways. But it was also a year of scares and tragedy for people I love and unhappy things, too. A year of extremes, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. That's just life. But it felt kinda condensed and draining. I dunno. *flappy hands*

I'm glad you enjoyed the fic!
