I went outside to move the sprinkler about on the lawn and saw a giant spider in it's giant web just under the porch eave!!

we have similar spiders here...dunno what the latin name is for them but we have aptly named the "BigNasties" my hubby has taken pic of the spiders that inhabit our territory (yard and wood piles) and boy if you saw these pics you would FREAK OUT!!

remind me that sometime I will scan some of them and post them just for YOU!

lol "BigNasties"! Works for me. ;) Would love to see your spider pics! As I was ooing and awing over this spider, I felt a bit like Patrick from ADB, lol. :D

Why can't I find spiders like this?? We just get little things, or daddy long legs.

I see those all the time around here. Don't know exactly hat they're called but I don't think I've ever heard anyone complain about them being a big problem.

What a beautiful web! I mean, I'm very afraid of spiders, but I do think they're interesting, and their webs are fantastic! Lately my phobia also gets better. Once I got panic attacks when I saw spiders. I start to work up the courage to be near spiders now, I'm not that afraid of them anymore. I don't mind them when they're outside and can get near them and watch them. I just don't like them living in my house! And I hate it when they show up when or where I don't expect them, and I could never bear it if they were sitting somewhere on my body (only when they're really, really small). Their movement creeps me out (the long legs!), and it scares me that they're so fast ( ... )
