My sentiments about the passage of time, aging, calendar demarcations, etc. would be more interesting if New Orleans didn't live up to its reputation so well.

• Tomorrow I'm getting a flight to New Orleans, which is a magical city by all accounts. I'll spend the New Years weekend there with Zach, Alpha Male, Evacuee Nick, and a few others who were on the Tunisia trip a while back.

- Saturday, I ate a turducken.
- Sunday through Monday, I had the at least second best new years eve/day of my life. Basically 36 hours or so of euphoria.
