A while ago barilosopher did this meme, which is a cool one:

1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better. If I already know you well, expect the questions may be a little more intimate!
3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Consider this my offer to interview you!

Unfortunately, two of the questions he asked me are really, really hard. It's because of them that I've been stalling. But I will answer the easy ones, with the promise of answering the hard ones in the future, and then bump this one along.

These barilosopher's questions:

(1) Why do you study philosophy?

(2) Tell me the story of you and Katie.

These two were the hard ones. The reason why they are hard is because there are several different but true ways to answer them, and some of them are very long, and some are a little sensationalistic. I'd like to do them justice, but never seem to have the time (instead, I seem to have time to write TL;DR posts about concepts....)

These other three were easier. I can give you answers to them now:

(3) What happens after you graduate?

Good. Fucking. Question.

(4) Open your web browser's history navigator, and tell me about several of the most recent things recorded there.

I spent the last twenty minutes trying to google Dan Bern lyrics so I could accurately tag some songs I was given on a mix. It's mostly filled up with that. It also has this Answers page on Idi Amin.

(5) Who would be a pretty awesome 2008 President?

A little out on a limb, but I think Bill Richardson, former governor of New Mexico, would be pretty solid. With a revived Milton Friedman as running mate.
