Aurealis Awards 2009: Part 2 The Speech

It has been noted that in the past my acceptance speeches have been rather short. So this time I'd have a proper speech, right?

I planned speeches for Wives and Slice Of Life (the collection, not the short story) in case they managed to win an Aurealis Award. I'd worked it out in my head lying awake in the dark over the last week or so. I even wrote

well, they're blog posts now, but that really was the speech I had intended for Wives! You know, you think it out in your head, then you write it down, then you bullet-point it because there's no way you could read it, then you speak it.
