Well, I put all four against one wall as you folk suggested, and my fear that that side of the room would LOOM over the living room was proved to be unfounded. Getting the Earthquake bolts in the top to help stabilize them vertically has been much harder than stabilizing them horizontally, but it's done. At least as far as I can tell

I hear ya on the TV controller. Our set up is such that we can't change the channels without it - we've gone so digital that their isn't a manual backup procedure for just such an occasion.

Well, I did finally find it. ;-) And discovered that my package of channels had been changed, and so all that was weird. So,I just spent 40 minutes on the phone with the Comcast folks -- luckily, the supervisor I got on the phone dealt with all the transferring around has gotten the stuff straightened out. So all will be well. ;-)
