We noticed Punkin's leg was starting to look a bit ugly around the stitches. The fur started peeling back a bit and the skin around the stitches were looking a bit raw. We decided to call the vet and bring her by ( Read more... )

I'm sure she'll be OK. her leg wasn't in pain, and the foot actually looked pretty good. Just the area around the stitches. But we'll see!

Poor little thing! She's lucky to have you taking care of her! And even if she does wind up losing the leg, I'm sure she'll get along okay, I've seen lots of three legged animals that have perfectly happy, healthy lives.

We'll find out in a week to 10 days. I am hoping that their therapy to resolve the infection will turn out well. Considering the wonderful job they did in operating on her leg and getting a pin put in, I think they can do it.

Aww, poor kitten! I hope she gets better soon. My kitty Sophie is missing an eye but I don't even think she notices :)

It sounds like you were pretty quick on catching it, so hopefully everything will all heal up pretty and she'll never know she had a setback.

*crosses fingers*
