Kitten Update

We called the vet and found "Gimpy" was ready for pick up. We did some errands, and stopped by. The vet says the circulation in the leg looks good and it's unlikely she'll lose the leg at this point. He gave us some medicine, and we paid the remaining bill, which was another $100. We have to bring her back next week to remove the stitches and get ( Read more... )

Yes, she seems to be doing quite well. She eats as if she hasn't been fed in days, and the other cats sniff around her carrier, wondering what we've done to them.

I'm glad kitten sounds okay!

Growing kittens eat a lot. O_o Yukari used to flat put a hurting on her food bowel, we'd fill it three times a day and she'd wolf down the whole thing. Where do they put it all?

Hard to say. She isn't eating as much as she did the first day, and I learned a valuable lesson: Don't give her tuna. I had mixed her medication in with a small forkful of tuna. She ate it fine, but about 5 this morning, she started crying and had some stinky gas and runs. We'll stick with the kitten chow for now. I had to give her a little bath and dress the stitches with the salve we were given. She had messed all over the bad leg and tail.
