La settimana bianca è finita.

Yes, skiing week has ended, but that's not the only thing that went down the drain. A bit after a year our (rightist, full of bigots) government fell. If our politics finally manages to find some sense, we're not going to new early elections, but we might get a new (left-centre), maybe more normal governmental coalition. Well, it makes for some ( Read more... )

The Time T - Time T+90min pics remind me of life in So Cal. Big Bear to Orange Co was ~90 min to 2 hours.

Yup, it was funny. Also in Slovenia getting from the mountains to the sea can be done with ease, but not in 90 minutes. :)

Ah, snow! I got too little of it this winter. And now we are stuck in some strange space between winter and spring.

Do the news of the kinda-sorta street revolution in Bulgaria reach Slovenia? We are definitely in for a caretaker government and premature parliamentary elections, and that isn't going to help much because we definitely need new political parties that need time to emerge and establish themselves, while the more radical protesters want to ban political parties as a concept.

Good luck with your next government! *hugs*

We're full, full, full of snow this winter. There's too much of it, eventually.

And yes, I have seen and read and heard reports about protests in Bulgaria. I guess you're in-sync with the rest of Europe. :)

LOL send me some of that snow.

Bulgaria simply reached the critical level of poverty, Tomaz. We aren't quite "Europe" after all.

I say good riddance to the government that resigned (and our freshly-former Prime Minister immediately started his election campaign), but I don't see who could successfully replace them.

What a wonderful series. Among my favorites are the view across the mountains to another peak, three of you I guess on the chairlift for the nighttime skiing, and best of all, the Iggy portrait. I don't know him at all but looking at your photo, I feel as if I do. Magnifico.

It looks like a grand time! Too bad about the weather when you got to Geneva.

It was all amazing. And we all enjoyed Genova as well, so it was all good. With good people around you, it's always a bliss. :)

It's not a ski jump, it's a ramp for parachuters and stuff. :)
